Production of an Antigen for a FDA-qualified Elisa

A company producing veterinary vaccines have been utilising the RPF for more than a decade to produce a range of products including an antigen used for an FDA-qualified ELISA used for in-house quality control. We recently scaled up the production of their antigen due to growing demand.

Approach: The RPF team designed a scale up process to meet the new target quantity required. This required re-cloning of the target gene, small and large scale protein expression, formulation and aliquoting at specific volumes and concentrations.

Outcome: The new batch produced from the scaled-up production met the targeted specifications from the company QC/QA and is now in use within the company.
